Creation
Q:
Did God create the earth in six days?
Yes. The days of the week were introduced here. There is proof in the Old Testament. When the Israelites were in the desert, God gave them food to eat. On Friday, they had to collect 2 days' worth because Saturday was the Sabbath. They took the 7th day off for a day of rest just as God did after he had finished creating the world. In Genesis, God says "the morning and the evening, the __day". A 24 hour day has a morning and an evening to it. The Hebrew word for day is "yom". Yom can also mean a 24 hour period time or a period of light contrasted to night. Exodus 20:11 (KJV) also states that the earth was formed in six days.

Q:
Did God create dinosaurs?
In Genesis 1:25, it is written: "God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good." There have been many finds of dinosaur remains all over the world. In one case, they found 2 dinosaurs locked in battle. Job 40:15-24 talks about and describes the behemoth. His descriptions include: Tail like a cedar tree, plant eater, powerful and muscular, and limbs like bars of iron. People often think that this description fits that of an alligator or crocodile. However, alligators/crocodiles are Meat Eaters. The behemoth is a Plant Eater. Another comparison made is to that of a rhino/hippo. However, one look at these animals' tails will tell us that they aren't as strong as the cedars of Lebanon! Dinosaurs eventually died out as there is no evidence to the existence of one today.

Q:
How old is the earth?
The world was created on the first day of creation (Genesis 1:1-5). Calculations can be done by adding the 1st five days of creation (creation of the world to Adam) to the genealogies from Adam to Abraham (Genesis 5, Genesis 11:10-32). After adding those, you add the years from Abraham to now. The equation looks like:
5 years
+ ~2,000 years (Adam to Abraham)
+ ~4,000 years (Abraham to now)

= ~6000 years
